Michelle Mays: Music

De Ja Vu

(Michelle Mays)
2000
DeJaVu
Seems I've met you somewhere, sometime ago,
Dejavu it feels to me.
Can you tell me what or if, at all,
You recall.
Somewhere or when I see, in my minds' eye
Let's dance a while, perhaps
discover why.

(CH)Cycling in, time and time again.
Who knows where who knows when.
Now and then, the veil will thin,
Glimpses show what we need to know.
Then back across we go,
just to cycle back in,
Time and time again.

A grand orchestration is in play, you know,
to the Music of the Dance.
Subtleties ignite our memories
With flashes of
What is, what was, small reminders of
how we know by heart, just what is our part.

(CH)Cycling in, time and time again.
Who knows where who knows when.
Now and then, the veil will thin,
Glimpses show what we need to know.
Then back across we go, just to cycle back in, Time and time again.

From across the veil of time the Old Ones seek
With silent signs, in styles oblique,
To guide our steps in strange and wonderous ways
Coincidence, and happenstance, synchronicity,Serindipity, blind luck and chance.
(CH)Cycling in, time and time again.
Who knows where who knows when.
Now and then, the veil will thin,
Glimpses show what we need to know.
Then back across we go,
just to cycle back in, Time and time again.

Whether purpose, plan or karmic gift, it is deemed,
Our paths were crossed. So it would seem
We must dance again, to the notes attend
Keeping time,
with this Dance Divine,
no set steps to know
Just improvise, make it up as we go.

(CH)Cycling in, time and time again.
Who knows where who knows when.
Now and then, the veil will thin,
Glimpses show what we need to know.
Then back across we go, just to cycle back in,
Time and time again.
Time and time again.
Time and time again.

Story:

The meaning is very clear with this song.

Originally written in the early 80's, when it was requested that this song be added to the donation CD, I allowed some lyrical changes. Again, maybe someday I'll record the original!
